FCA Ranks

An FCA (Facility Condition Assessment) Rank is used to categorize or rank assets that are to be evaluated for facility condition inspections. This rank is used as part of reports, filters, and for reporting and prioritizing FCA inspections. Asset FCA Ranks is accessible from the Administration section of the Admin page and is only accessible if FCA is enabled. See FCA Overview for more information about FCA.

To open the FCA Ranks page:

  1. Open the Administration Menu page.

  2. Under the ASSET ADMIN heading, click FCA Ranks.

From this page, you can add a new FCA rank, edit an existing FCA rank, or delete and existing FCA rank.

To add an FCA rank:

  1. Click the Add FCA Rank link.

  2. In the Rank Desc field, enter a description of the rank.

  3. In the Tab Order field, enter a tab order.

    The Tab Order indicates the position, in menus, where this value will be listed. Lower numbered values are displayed toward the top of the list. Values will the same tab order will be sorted alphabetically.

  4. In the Active field, select Yes to make the rank active or No to make the rank Inactive.

  5. Click OK.

Once you have created an FCA rank, you can further define it or edit it. To edit an FCA rank:

  1. In the FCA Rank field, select the rank you want to modify.

  2. Click the Edit FCA Rank link.

  3. Modify any of the following fields:

    • Rank Desc – Modify the description of the rank.
    • Tab Order – The Tab Order indicates the position, in menus, where this value will be listed. Lower numbered values are displayed toward the top of the list. Values will the same tab order will be sorted alphabetically.
    • Active – Select Yes to make the rank active; select No to inactivate the rank. Inactive ranks are not displayed to users.

  4. Click UPDATE.

ClosedDelete an FCA Rank

FCA ranks that have not been used can be deleted from the system.

FCA ranks that have been associated with an asset cannot be deleted. You must either disassociate the rank from all assets or inactivate the rank to prevent it from being associated with additional assets.

To delete an FCA rank:

  1. In the FCA Rank field, select the rank you want to delete.

  2. Click the Edit FCA Rank link.

  3. Click the DELETE link.

    A dialog box opens asking you to confirm your choice.

  4. Click OK.
